The Odyssey Review

The Odyssey

A big screen adaptation to the Homer epic, The odyssey stays fairly close to the original story. That’s not to say there isn’t some parts that are way off, there is quite a bit of changes. But what is to be complained about seeing they had to fit all 25 books into one movie, a longer running movie then most. Set design is top notch and acting is so-so. Special effects are on par, although some such as the giant are a tad bit laughable. A very strong movie in it’s own right, and a very adaptation of the books. As far as I cow this is the only full adaptation of all 25 books in the epic poem, I think some movies were just based on certain parts, but I could, and probably am, be wrong. As you can guess I’m starting to run outta things to say for this movie. I would talk about the plot an such but it’s to long for me to run through and I’m sure most of you know what it’s about anyway, either that or your just curios. You don’t have to know about it though. If you like any Greek mythology of any of the Sinbad movies you would probably find this one to be interesting to your likes. Adventure film fans should check this one out as well. If your looking for straight out horror and ghosts and goblins skip this one, don’t look for gore either, you find it here. None of that is meant for this movie anyway.
