Mindwarp Review

Mindwarp

When it comes to it Mindwarp was made for two reasons. The first one being to launch the beginning of a new line of horror movies produced and distributed by Fangoria. For those of you who don’t know what Fangoria is, it’s a magazine dedicated to horror films that has been around since the late 70’s. So it was a no brainer that sooner or later they would start coming out with their won horror movies, but except for maybe a couple of them most of them aren’t very good. The second reason being to finally get cult stars Angus Scrimm and Bruce Campbell in a movie together. Angus Scrimm being of fame from the Phantasm series and Bruce Campbell being of fame from the Evil Dead series. In truth though they’re about all the movie has going for it though. Even Angus’s and Bruce’s performances are below average by their standards. It seems that they were only there for the fact that they had nothing better to do at the time. Though Angus does try to make the most of it. The plot has to do something with a dream world where a girls is thrown outside into reality, the world, which is now a wasteland scavenged by cannibals and other monstrosities are thrown in along the way. There is a tad bit of gore but when you here cannibals don’t think that actual flesh eating cannibals are on display here, there more a kind of mutant then anything. Most people will want to skip over this one while fans of Bruce and Angus will find very little besides they’re staring roles in this film.
