It took them 10 years to do it but they finally did it. They pitted two of the biggest serial killer together and boy the results couldn’t have been worse. But lets not get into that just yet, seeing the film does have some redeeming qualities. Also I may warn that this review (as with all the other reviews on this site) contains major spoilers, so be warned of that as you read. It involves as you can of course tell Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th series and Freddy Kruger from the Nightmare On Elm Street series. I myself am I fan of Jason. Anyway Freddy’s powers have grown weak and he is no longer able to install fear into the kids on Elm Street. So he poses as Jason’s mother and gets Jason to do it for him. Jason soon finds out the truth and he’s not to happy about it, thus leading to the fight between the two. I’ll admit it sounds like a cool premise. The best part of the movie though is all the blood. It’s been a very long time since cinema goers have seen this much blood at the theaters. It has been long overdue. But that’s where most of the good ends. One disappointing factor is all the CGI, and it really makes the movie look dumb in some scenes, this is best noticeable in the Jason as a pinball scene. Now you have this great big movie that people have been waiting for for 10 years and what’s the best was to screw it all up but mess up the ending. I’ll say it in two words: Nobody Wins. What’s the point then? There is none. This movie just becomes a big piece of trash then for that reason. Ten years of waiting for nothing. What a waste. This movie is crap, don’t bother. A big thanX goes out to all the people who made it, and don’t bother making a sequel, you couldn’t possibly screw it up anymore.
