Children Of The Corn Review

Children Of The Corn

The first story off of Stephan Kings Graveyard Shift, which is a collection of short stories. Most people just sort of push this film off to the side but I myself am a big fan of it and the rest of the films in the series. Most agree that the book is much better, one of the qualities of the book is that He Who Walks Behind The Rows is revealed, but in the movie it is portrayed by a moving pile of dirt. Has anybody else noticed that this “moving pile of dirt” also resemble an underground Graboid from the Tremors films? I think they’re almost identical. Anyway I’ve never read the book so I can’t compare the two. I’m not embarrassed to admit that Children Of The Corn series is one of my favorite movie series out there, I even like it more the Friday The 13th. It was part 2 though that actually got me into the series. It might just be the premise of the story. Three years ago all the children of a small town formed a cult and murdered all the grown ups in the town. Now three years later the kids have full control (and how this is possible without the police or some sort of authorities or someone getting involved, even the electric company, I have no clue) soon a young couple wonders into the town and is soon hunted down by the children. I could go on for awhile with different specifics from the movie but I’m just going to give a brief view on it to keep it short. There is nothing real stunning about this movie. But at the same time I don’t think it has any low points in it. Most Stephan King fans and fans of the books should be pleased with the movie. I myself love it. It’s followed by seven sequels, part eight being written as we speak.
