With it’s third sequel in the series, the Child’s play films have not lost a bit of steam at all. This movie is just as much fun as all the films in the rest of the series. You also have to remember that I think the first film is the weakest in the series and that all of the sequels are superior then it, which is unheard of for any series, but this one somehow pulls it off. What helps this movie out a lot is that they have a whole new formula for this movie with the same rules of the previous ones, with some new surprises. First off Andy is finally out of the picture. No longer is Chucky chasing after the same old kid, this time he will take whatever he can get. Of course the biggest thing is Chucky now has a partner in crime. Tiffany is her name, played by Jennifer Tilly. Chucky gets revenge on her after she treats him like, well, like a doll. So what does he do but out her in dolls body as well. They then have to go to Chucky’s old burial site so that they can retrieve an amulet from his coffin that can put them into human form again. Another plus with this duo is there is now room for some even quirkier one liners that we have all gotten to know Chucky for and side comments as well, everything from stabbing people to Martha Stewart. It all ends with one of the biggest open doors to a sequel ever, and as I write this they are getting the sequel to this ready, it’s title being Seed Of Chucky, and I’m pretty sure you can all figure out from the title what it’s about, that is if you haven’t seen Bride Of Chucky before.
