Alien 5 update: Alien vs Predator director Paul W. S. Anderson is rumoured to have been asked by Fox to pen the next Alien movie.
Superman update: TV actor Brandon Routh has signed-up to star as Superman in Bryan Singer's new version. Star of TV show Lost Evangeline Lilly is rumoured to be up for the part of Lois Lane.
Bubba Ho-Tep 2 update: Writer/director Don Coscarelli has confirmed he will work on a sequel to cult horror Bubba Ho-Tep although he has yet to come up with a story.
X-Files 2 update: Star of the X-Files series Robert Patrick has stated he'd be up for the proposed sequel.
The Island update: Warner Bros. will co-produce the Ewan McGregor sci-fi film The Island with DreamWorks. The studio will handle international distribution and finance half the project's $100 million budget. The Michael Bay movie is scheduled for a July 22 release.
Jurassic Park 4 update: Rumour is that dinosaurs in the next Jurassic Park movie will feature those of a feathered nature.
Freddy vs Jason vs Ash update: New Line executive Jeff Katz has a treatment for a Freddy vs Jason sequel, nothing's official yet but it looks as though the movie will go ahead with Evil Dead's Ash set to join the fray.
Indiana Jones IV update: The long awaited sequel could be shooting next Summer after Speilberg wraps The War of the Worlds with another rumour suggesting Harrison Ford has been told not to work out for the role with the makers going for a more realistic type of hero.
Prom Night update: The Grudge scribe Stephen Susco has been hired to write the horror Prom Night for Neal Moritz's Original Film at Sony Pictures. The movie takes as its jumping-off point the 1980 film of the same name starring Jamie Lee Curtis.
The War of the Worlds update: Taken star Justin Chatwin will star as the son of Tom Cruise in Spielberg's adaptation of The War of the Worlds. Their strained relationship is reportedly a significant plot point in the film.
Terminator 4 update: A wild rumour reports Orlando Bloom is to be cast opposite Arnie.
Blade: Trinity update: The third Blade movie has had it's release date brought forward two days to Wednesday 8th December.
The Land of the Dead update: George Romero has added 4 more to his cast: Simon Baker, John Leguizamo, Asia Argento, and Robert Joy. They join Dennis Hopper in Romero's return to the zombie genre he is famous for. -Hollywood Reporter
Terminator 4 update: The latest installment in the futuristic action series looks for a 2005 start. T3 director Jonathan Mostow is expected to direct. Questions remain as if current California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger would return for the role, although sources say the likely solution is a limited role with the introduction of a new Terminator model. -Variety
Hellboy 2 update: In an interview with DarkHorizons, Selma Blair says that Hellboy 2 is currently in development, with Guillermo del Toro currently writing the script with "interesting" locations in mind to shoot. -DarkHorizons
BloodRayne update: Geraldine Chaplin, Udo Kier, and Michael Pare have signed up to join vampire and video game flick BloodRayne. They join Ben Kingsley, Kristanna Loken, Michael Madsen, Michelle Roriguez, and Matt Davis.
Indiana Jones 4 update: George Lucas in a recent interview with Empire Magazine revealed that the a new writer is working on "the next script" for Indy 4 and that he and Steven Spielberg will wait until they are satisfied with the script before doing anything. He says: "We are working on the next script. Another writer has started working on it. We're just not going to make it unless it's really good," he confirmed. "One of the reasons I'm able to work with Steven so well is because every time we come to a disagreement we'll yield to the other one, which means we'll come up with a compromise that considers both sides, and one person isn't determined to have his way. It's what's best for the movie."
Resident Evil 3 update: Both star Milla Jovovich and director Paul Anderson expressed hope in making the horror film duet a trilogy. The tentative title is Resident Evil: Afterlife.
Flight of the Dead Update: Marco Mehlitz, a producer from Cinerenta, is to film zombie film Flight of the Dead at Studio Babelsberg. The studio became available thanks to the delay of Mission: Impossible 3 and the Lions Gate film follows the tale of two zombies being shipped back to their homeland after they are captured. But when the deadly creatures come unexpectedly to life aboard an airplane, the begin to wreak high-altitude havoc. The original draft of the screenplay was written by Gary Parker and Tom Lavangnino, with rewriting done by Dunning and Lorenzo Ozouri.
War of the Worlds update: War of the Worlds may be lensing in New Jersey with shooting to begin as soon as October and running through December. A publicist for Paramount Pictures confirmed that they are planning to utilize this area for the shoot.

The War of the Worlds Update: The blockbuster The War of the Worlds has shuffled it's release date forward to Wednesday, June 29th 2005, two days before The Fantastic Four opens and giving it a whopping 6-day opening weekend.
Scarecrow Update: The horror directors behind Hong Kong's The Eye Oxide and Danny Pang are to make the English-language flick Scarecrow for Blue Star Pictures and Ghost House Pictures. The script has been rewritten by Collateral's Stuart Beattie and follows the lives of a family moving into a run-down sunflower farm. As the farm begins to revive after years of disrepair, the family begins to notice uncomfortable and alarming changes in their father's behavior.
The War of the Worlds Update: Dakota Fanning will star as Tom Cruise's daughter in next years War of the Worlds adaptation.
