A great premise for a Haunted House story. A group of people is invited to a mansion to spend the night. If they can make it through the night and are still able to collect the money in the morning they will get $10,000. But it’s not as easy as it seems, as dancing skeletons and the occasional flying sheet and more pop up. Vincent Price plays the man behind the madness.
A very imaginative adaptation of the Jules Verne novel accompanied by some spectacular underground sets makes this adventure all the more fun as a group of explores try to reach the center of the world. Also note Howard Herrmann’s wonderful mood setting score.
