One of the more non human of non creature nemesis’s to come out, like the titles stats the terrorizing force is a blob who sucks up everybody I it’s path and grows with each gulp. It’s also a story of the boy who cried wolf as Steve McQueen goes around telling of the monster but is not believed until it finally evaded a movie theater where havoc soon ensures.
The special ness to The Fly is that it’s not just an oversized fly, but it’s actually a scientist who when trying out his own matter transport machine accidentally leave s a fly in the chamber and is made one with it as he tests out his creation. This results in the scientist, now with a giant fly head, and the fly who now has a human head. As with the Blob of this year, it was remade in the 80’s.
The first of the Sinbad trilogy, it could be said that this is one of the best adventure movies made. There is beasts galore and magic potions all combined into the story as sailor Sinbad must travel to a far off island for a potion that will restore his wife to normal size. Of course a mad magician is behind all of the events, trying to get his beloved magic lamp back.
