Having nothing to really do with earth, it’s more of a Battle of the worlds type film. Two earthlings are transported to the planet Metaluna to help them fight off the enemy planet called Zahgon. An odd but thrilling climax features a giant insect type creature with the big eyes that all alien life forms come with.

Another well made giant insect movie, now featuring a giant tarantula on the loose, ass you can tell by the name. A solution to world hunger is to blame for the growth of the tarantula. Why can’t the creature movies of today be made as well as they were 50 years?

A re-teaming of director and producer for the sequel, the Gillman has now been captured and transported to a Sea world in Florida where it not only goes through experimenting but is also becoming a national attraction. Of course he soon gets loose and rampages around wondering where he is. A fun side note, look for a small Clint Eastwood role, his debut in a major motion picture.

Featuring more of Ray Harryhausen top motion animation, this is one of a couple successful monster run amok monster movies, a giant squid taking the place of aliens seeing most films of the time featured the creatures from other planets.
