The 1950’s was the time of space travel and monster movies. Destination moon kicked this all up with it’s tale of the first man occupied trip to the moon. The film really puts a emphasizes on the difficulties of space and spend o a lot of time on scientific technicalities, almost as if it was a documentary.
Originally pushed into production to beat destination at it’s own game some fans often find it better then the latter. Only this time on the crafts journey to the moon the ship malfunctions and the crew land on Mars instead. This is way more of a fantasy as destination, it even goes as far to have caveman type people living on Mars, the only remnants of a once great civilization.
