Bride Of Frankenstein

Very successful sequel to the original Frankenstein is considered by many to be a better film then the first. Boris Karloff reprised his role as the monster who now has a counterpart created for him, hence the name. This probably one of the greatest Universal monster sequels to come out of the whole lot, and is better known then some of the original titles in their catalogue as well.

The Raven

Not really related to the Edgar Allen poem, although it does borrow some of it’ torture devise used by Bela Lugosi in the film. Bela Lugose used Edgar’s literature to wreak havoc around the town. A nice Universal gothic piece as their films started to progress and become darker then in previous years.

Werewolf Of London

The original werewolf movie even before Universal The Wolf man came out. Although the Wolf man did it slightly better and established more traditions with the werewolf theme werewolf of London is a very well done film even though it lacks in some areas, but that doesn’t stop it from being the predecessor to another franchise that influenced many horror films from that time on.
