It’s only one of the greatest most well known movie ever made, it comes even above such classics as Dracula and Frankenstein in it’s popularity. They never could recapture the success of the movie in sequels or remakes, and the image of the giant ape climbing the Empire State Building has stuck with people throughout the years from it’s release.
An Adaptation of the H.G Wells book, Island of Lost Souls remains one of the most chilling films of the 1930’s thanks to some of it’s graphic images of suffering both of humans and animals. It was eventually remade under the name of the island of Dr. Moreau, which it is more known as to many people.
